Awards
Each year The New Brunswick Dental Assistants’ Association presents awards at the President’s Awards Ceremony and Luncheon, as a part of our Annual General Meeting.
We need your help with the nominations! These past 2 years have proven that dental assistants are invaluable! Please nominate your dental assistant so they can get the recognition that they deserve.
President’s Excellence Award
This award is presented to an Individual or Local that, in the opinion of the current NBDAA President, is deserving of special recognition for their contribution to the advancement of the Provincial Association and the profession of dental assisting.
Spirit Award
This award is presented to a member that in the opinion of the “Awards Committee” and or the President is deserving of special recogniton for their outstanding positive attitude towards the dental assisting profession by providing new ideas or suggestions and their personal involvement locally or provincially.
Student Awards
This award is presented to a student that in the opinion of the “Awards Committee” and or the President is deserving of special recognition.
Certificate of Merit
This award is presented to a member for special service to the NBDAA at any level of the organization. In general, it recognizes either an outstanding contribution in a given year or outstanding service over a number of years. Nominees need not have served on the Board of Directors, but have through their actions worked to promote the provincial associaton, advanced our goals, supported our objectives and exemplified the mission, vision and values of the organization.
Certificate of Appreciation
This award is presented to an Individual or Local that, in the opinion of the current NBDAA President, and awards committee is deserving of special recognition for their contribution to the advancement of the Provincial Association and the profession of dental assisting.
Ann Coughlan Award
This award is in honor of Ann Coughlan, our first President and Honorary Member. This is a award that is not new this year, however it is a high honor to receive this award. The recipient of this award must be active at their local and provincial level and be a promoter of the profession and association. The recipient must also have attended at least 3/4 of their local meetings and 3 consecutive provincial meetings.
Helping Hand Award
This award is presented to a dental assistant that is always working in the background ready with a helping hand. She\he is the one that you know if you need help, they will be ready, willing and able.
